We at Hamd Medical Practice very proud of our HCA Triage clinic:

Brief description of what is involved in this clinic patients who book into this clinic are seen by HCA intially who do basic checks and complete work that is outstanding as part of Qof for patient healthcare ie if diabetic patient who hardly comes in, but has attended to see GP this is ideal opportunity to pick up on outstanding tests needed. 

So HCA completes basic health check as well as taking summary of what they have come in for then the GP on call who will go through summary with patient as well as necessary examinations, the HCA will document what is done during examination and outcome of visit.

We have observed with the help of the HCA we are freeing up time for the GP and increased number of appointmetns.

We have has good feedback from patients about this services.
